Budapest, considered the most beautiful city in central Europe, provides the stunning backdrop for the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) European Congress, June 13–17, 2012. The theme will be feline diagnostics – clinical pathology and imaging for the practitioner. Main sponsors are Hill’s, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, MSD Animal Health, Novartis and Merial, with support also from Agria, CEVA, and Idexx. The aim is to provide an event that is the perfect balance between learning, culture and fun.
The Budapest ISFM Congress provides a great opportunity for practitioners to hone their diagnostic skills and develop their ability to interpret images and laboratory data. Common clinical problems such as assessment of liver disease, pancreatic disease and new information on respiratory diagnostics, will be discussed by leading experts, including keynote speakers Sue Foster, Lecturer in Small Animal Medicine at Murdoch University, and Livia Benigni, Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging at the Royal Veterinary College.
There will also be two days of excellent free CPD programmes before the main congress from Hill’s, Boehringer Ingelheim, Merial/International Fund for Cat Welfare (IFCW), Bayer and Novartis.
The venue for the Congress, the InterContinental Budapest, sits on the banks of the Danube with panoramic views of the city’s most iconic landmarks, the Chain Bridge and former Royal Palace, and is also just minutes walk from the main shopping area. As is traditional for ISFM, Saturday morning is free for delegates to explore the delights of the city.
Booking is essential to ensure a place at the Saturday night ‘Boho chic’ theme party to be held at Budapest’s most famous restaurant, the Grundel, a glamorous venue with a reputation for gourmet food and luxurious style.
Cost of registration: £380 (€440) members, £440 (€500) non-members. For full details, and to register, go to www.isfm.net/congress/2012
