| Feline diagnostics for practitioners with ISFM in Budapest |

Budapest, considered the most beautiful city in central Europe, provides the stunning backdrop for the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) European Congress, June 13–17, 2012. The theme will be feline diagnostics – clinical pathology and imaging for the practitioner. New expert level feline nursing distance learning course |

In 2009 the Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB), in partnership with Purina and in association with the Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE), launched two Feline Friendly Nursing Courses – one at Foundation and one at Advanced level (Open College Network (OCN) level 3). Over 150 nurses have completed or are currently working on these courses. Now an Expert level course is available to nurses who have completed the Advanced level course and have their feline friendly credentials.

For the first time, the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) will be hosting a seminar at the London Vet Show, on Thursday 24 November from 9.00am to 1.00pm. It will be the first opportunity practitioners will have to take a close look at the latest initiative from ISFM – the ISFM Purina Wellcat for Life Programme – and it will be free to those who register to attend.

The European Society of Feline Medicine, the veterinary wing of the Feline Advisory Bureau, is changing its name and widening its scope because of a huge interest in feline information worldwide. ESFM is morphing to ISFM – the ‘European’ becoming ‘International’. The new logo unveiled at BSAVA Congress (FAB stand 107) in April, still incorporates the familiar typeface and pink colour of the charity.
